Oxjam Cambridge Takeover 2012 kicked off at 12 noon at the Emperor.

A mix of atmospheric rock and alternative acoustic, for something a bit different, presented by Allans Promotions at the Avery.

The Q Club
9pm-2am
A Rock Lobster special in aid of Oxjam. One of the most popular 80s nights in Cambridge, DJs  playing anything from punk, new wave and goth to the new romantics and electronic. .

The Fountain
8pm-3am
Three floors filled with live music and DJs, with all the proceeds from the door going to Oxfam. Starting at 8pm with "Live and Let Funk" and going on until the early hours, a night of vocal house with Sharman & Dave Rendle in the Bar while in the Loft - electro, breaks and drum & bass. On the middle floor photo booth + glitter and sparkle make overs! Live acts included the Brass Funkeys at 9pm.

Acoustic, Latino and Salsa artists throughout the evening 6pm-Midnight...Uptight! DJs spicing it up with Brazilian and Tribal beats until 3am. Lineup features

Cambridge's favourite samba band playing the very hottest Brazilian rhythms on Parkers Piece, behind the Avery and collecting for Oxfam around the city.


This event is part of ‘Oxjam’, a volunteer fundraising venture in aid of Oxfam GB. Oxfam GB is a registered charity (England and Wales No. 202918, Scotland SCO039042) and a member of Oxfam International. Oxfam works with others to find lasting solutions to poverty and suffering. All profits from the Oxjam Cambridge Takeover will go to Oxfam GB
