When TEENJAM Took Over The Junction

In a modern world where new music takes the form of internet sensations and X Factor contestants; its hard to believe that people will spend their Saturday nights to go to a gig where unsigned acts perform…
But that is exactly what happened on Saturday 13th September 2014! Crowds gathered to experience the sensational youth talent that Cambridge has to offer.
For all those who couldn’t make it or loved what they heard; you can experience the artist’s work via the links below:

But the fun didn’t stop there! Whilst the guys were blowing the audience away there was photo booth ready for everyone to strike a pose and just be silly for a night. The people that came showed warmth, enthusiasm and a passion to just be a part of something…the fact that it was for Oxjam, is what made the Oxjam team feel special.
Oxjam Cambridge Takeover manager, Izzy Maxwell-Watts said;

'When the Oxjam team dreamed up TEENJAM we wanted to give young people the chance to perform in a professional environment and be celebrated. When those talented acts got up on stage and blew the crowd away, it filled me with pride and admiration for every single one of them. What stars they are! And a huge thanks to everyone for their support.'

Winning Acts
With all the fun that was happening, it was easy to forget that the brave young acts were competing for a place in the Oxjam Cambridge Takeover that is happening on 18th October 2014. It was a tough call but we let the audience decide. All the acts were measured by the amount of applause and noise from the crowd.
It was a close call but the audience had spoken…
